In this new update on the uniqueness of NMP, we are going to look at how the site works on the web.
When it comes to mashup, the information comes from different locations. We look at things as Dynamic pages=Databases. Pages which change for some reason.
When the database is trying t process so many requests, ie; when many people are logged onto a certain website, then the internet (server) slows down.
Javascript
This is the basis of making an html page.
Apparently, the Minister of Broadband, Communication and Technology is using javascript to filter the internet from the IPS.
API’s
These are about sharing of data, sharing functionality, and they also allow people to do things that were not envisioned before. For example; Flickr has a very good API www.flikr.com/services/api/. Twitter has been known to have a more of a public API.
API’s also help people to build stuff off a back up service, and also give us new ways of experiencing content.
API can also be used to piggyback, in that it can be used to create better things. This thus creates a basis of a sort for work to do.
Mashups
This helps to get to things and merge them, hence it is a way of combining services.
