I created an online exhibition based on the medium of cars. I specifically chose the Saab Aero X as my area of interest. Probably is because of my love for cars, and also because this is one of my dream cars.
I shall give an insight on the technical processes that I took for me to get to this as my final piece.
Firstly, an html page has got to be created and in this page, one has got to have the open and close quotes so that the page is not left hanging other than that, the web shall not be able to read the information in it and transmit it into a webpage desired. For example; and the close is . If you notice there is a slash on the last quote before the code name. This is done for all the codes that are used for example, I used codes like
,, etc.
All the codes that have been applied send a message to the server to show it what to do, and thus things like a body is created, a heading is created, a division is created, a paragraph is made, and many others. Things like images use the codes like , and when a source (http link) is required for an image to be retrieved, the code is
code.
When one is trying to create a link in the webpage that is used, they can use things like link/name chosen. If you realize, there are forward slashes at the end of all the codes there is. Hence, showing that without them, this data cannot be read for it to be published by the Internet.
What is included in the web page
In my web page, you shall find various links to all different websites, and this is to create a wider insight on the car, an addition t the information that I have provided. For example; the example that the car was a basis for one of the transformer characters, Wheeljack in the movie, there is more information in the links provided to justify this information and properly explain it all.
The links are also another colour so as to blend in with the style of the sheet, and also they change colours when a mouse is run over them, and they also change colour when they have been clicked to their rightful links.
Speaking of links, the images themselves are links, and thus the information on this webpage is not plagerised, as it is all in a way referenced to its original source, including some of the information used, there is a link at the end of all the paragraphs so as to emphasis the validity of this information.
I managed to make a sort of image gallery, as they is a certain amount of opacity, hence they are transparent, as when the mouse is over the images, they are made clear and in the process, one can click on any of them for more information.
I also managed to include a you tube video and this is because it creates a more vivid idea on what the car is all about, its special features, attributes, as well as showing the ways in which it has bee marketed to the public.
At the end of the webpage, I also managed to create links, so that incase anyone is highly interested in the values of this car, they can access more information, and some of the information that is included includes the official website of Saab Aero X concept car.
And lastly, there is a link to my blog, to this information that you are reading presently at the extreme end.
What has been done
Using the style sheet, I managed to centre the picures, the words, as well as the whole page. There are also some sub headings to give an insight on what one is about to read, and thus, I have created a structure.
The reason as to why the back ground is as is, is because, I thought it suitable to the theme and idea of cars, considering the fact that it is a very technical and fast sports car, the background matches the idea that it can achieve all that has been said about it. It embodies the car’s true strength. The lettering is nothing extra ordinary however, it is bold and precise. This shows that the car itself is a statement without any extra “merry-mash” added to it.
There is a border around the information provided on the webpage and this is just to bring out the information more. It is a form of emphasis in a way, and also a means of separation of the text and images from the background.
